We often need to create redirects to anchor links, but are not currently able to do so. For example, we have this page https://www.opb.org/support/ways-to-give and we'd like to create vanity urls for specific portions of the page (like https://www.opb.org/support/ways-to-give/#Give_Stock).
Support told me:
"This has to do with the way a network stack handles anchor tags in the URL - they are generally ignored and only handled by the browser. This is not to say that it's invalid to redirect to one (from a technical perspective), however Arc is not designed to handle this use case. "
Currently, these redirects can be created with a proxy rule, but I'm told that ability is going away.
