Ideas for Arc XP

Show derivative photos (crops) on original photo; they need to be deleted first in order to delete the original

We have found that we are unable to delete certain photos because they had crops (derivatives) created from them, which need to be deleted before the original can be created. There is no indication on the photo from which a derivative was created by cropping, that derivatives for that photo exists.

There is a link on a derivative image to the original from which it was created, There should be bi-directional info on both originals and derivative images so the full chain can be discovered. (note that a cropped photo may be further cropped, so a derivate image can also be the original for another derivative image.

This information is needed not only to delete an image and all it's derivatives, but also if the metadata needs to be corrected on the image, the correction may need to be made on all derivative images as well.

If there were a way that the full derivative chain could be listed on the original image, that would be even better.
