Hi Shaun,
Thank you for submitting your idea. From what I understand, for both Idea I-163 and I-162, you are asking for the ability to sort images by newest to oldest either by the upload/create date. This already exists (see attached image), along with also sorting by date captured. It is the sort option between the search bar and the upload image button:
