Hi there,
We're looking to add a capability or permission to allow users who uploads or marks a photo as "Restricted" to continue to find, view or use the image within the Arc XP platform, such as being able to select the Restricted image on an article on Composer.
Currently, it appears that if a user attempts to find an image that's labeled as "Restricted" in Photo Center, even if they uploaded it, they're unable to see or use the image.
Is there a way to have Photo Center see who originally uploaded the image to grant them the ability to view that image, regardless of "Restricted" status?
If this capability already exists, please let us know.
Thanks!
Hi Larry,
That user workflow is correct. The reason for this is the user who uploaded the image and labeled it as "Restricted" should still have access to use/modify that image as needed, such as attaching it to an article. But they shouldn't have access to other user images labeled as "Restricted."
It's almost like they can only view their user-submitted photos, versus all photos.
Please let me know if this helps clarify this. Thanks!
Thanks for the idea submission!
Troy, just to clarify the user workflow: you're hoping for a user (user A) to be able to select images (via Image Selector) they themselves upload and set as restricted, but not be allow them to select other images that are marked as restricted (that was not marked as restricted by user A)?
Why is it important that user A does not get permission to see all restricted images, but just the ones they've uploaded and set as restricted?
Thanks,
Larry
