In training the newsroom, many people have complained that the user interface in Anglerfish (and Ellipsis, and elsewhere, for that matter) are hard to see. Almost everything is white or off-white, so it can be hard to see where you are. If you're on a laptop at a weird angle, or working outside or near a window, the problem gets worse. Walking around the room I see a lot of people have zoomed in way more than they used to do on Wordpress.
Here's a note from one of our investigative reporters:
We should ask programmer to tweak color choices when you enter caption info, etc. for photos.
Now, the box for all the is white, and the text you type in is .. off-white
It is hard to read, a strain.
And it resembles type that is “grayed-out,” which conveys wrongly but confusingly a sense that your input is not taking hold…
The type should be old-fashioned black.
Thanks for reporting this. We're updating the UI for editing image metadata for an image in a story. If there are other specific areas that are hard to see, please let us know.
