Hi team,
I hope you are doing great.
As you know, we implemented the upgrade flow some time ago, in which, an user with a basic subscription upgrades his/her subscription to a premium one.
The point is when that user has previosly changed his/her credit card and later that subscription hasn't renewed yet and try to upgrade the subscription to a premium one, there is a payment error, because his/her credit card hasn't received any charge yet and according what you told us, it's a potential risk for the user.
If we try to make the change from the ARC console, we are able to. That doesn't make any sense, because it should be forbiden in both cases or in none of them, right?
Our Business department informed that this causistic is generating some incidents with users and it would be very useful if the flow allows the user upgrade the subscription although it hasn't renewed at that time.
This user case is included into the ticket ACS 28971 https://arcpublishing.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/2/ACS-28971
Thanks in advance.
Hi Jessica,
I hope you are doing great.
Any update about this ticket? We are applying more and more updates subscriptions and we would like to make sure there are no ways in which the subscriptions users couldn't be upgraded.
Thanks in advance!
Thank you for the feedback. We are working on updating the options allowed in the public APIs so they are more similar to what is offered in the customer service admin. I'll reach out to schedule time to review what changes we are planning.
