We would like to propose the implementation of automatic alerts to warn clients directly when some values are exceeded. We know that your team monitors actively the performance of your services. However, we have been in situations where the threshold we consider problematic is much lower than the one that triggers your actions. For instance, a service that is not completely saturated or collapsed will be enough dysfunctional according to our criteria to create a huge problem for us. We need to be alerted as soon as the issue is big enough to take a look and, correspondingly, to activate corrective measurements to minimize its impact.

In ideal terms, we would like to suggest (1) to be able to set a profile of several KPIs for services like Kinesis or others, with a customized threshold for these metrics and (2) set an automatic alert that triggers us an email, for example, when these values are exceeded.
