In reviewing the latest version of Video Center in our Sandbox environment (see attached screenshot with version info, the handling of Distributory Fields in the UI do not conform to the way they are presented in the Composer UI for Stories or in the Photo Center UI for Photos and Galleries. All should be consistent, as they are driven by the same Global Settings for Distributors (we have each Distributor (Mode) assigned to Composer, Photo Center and Video Center.
Here is what is currently happening see 2019-01-29 Sandbox snapshot attached:
Distributor is displayed as Staff(staff) it should be just staff
Credit is still getting updated, though now with just staff rather than Staff(staff)
The other 3 Distributor fields should be displayed and populated per Global Settings per staff, same as is the case for Composer for Stories and and Photo Center for Photos and Galleries.
And even if the values of distributor.name, distributor.category and distributor.subcategory are getting set according to the global settings values (snapshot for our sandbox global settings for distributor Staff is also attached), they should be visible in the Video Center UI, and displayed as they are in Composer when a distributor is selected. The only way to get all the fields to display in Goldfish is to select custom distributor and then manually populate the distributor fields; this does, however set credit to custom.

I do not recall when Distributor fields were added to Goldfish/Video Center. I know that they did not exist when we first implemented GoldFish. Credit field was not there in initial implementation - we are using Editor field - which can access author service records - as the source for the Credit for the video.
Is Credit being populated with distributor.name as it corresponds to source.name in pre-Distributor days? If so, the field should be labeled (Legacy) like Creditline is in Composer, to eliminate confusion.
Can this be corrected before this release is pushed to production?
As it is today, it is causing confusion due to the inconsistency with other modules, which will lead to inconsistencies of distributor settings across content types.

This was submitted close to a year ago, and has been tagged future consideration. We have heard nothing on this since.
This topic has come up again as we are in the process of transition from Classic to Fusion. As are rebuilding all our templates, there is a desire to have consistent standards for how users should specify common field values across applications, so that our templates can handle them in a consistent manner, whether the content object is an article, a gallery or a video. Unfortunately, as is described in this ticket and ACS-9731 , on which this is reported, Distributor fields are handled different for Video, both in the VIdeo Center UI and in the ANS JSON returned from apis.
It is my understanding from our Account Manager, Tanya Qureshi, that VIdeo Center is being rebuilt this year, and among other features, it will have a UI that is more consistent with other applications (Composer, Photo Center). Part of this consistency should be handling of distributor fields, both in UI and in ANS JSON, to be consistent with other appliations,
Can we get a response on this, and an ETA when this change will be made?
