Ideas for Arc XP

New IFX Event if story gets saved before publish

After a story is created but before its first publish, a story will be changed and saved multiple times but currently we dont receive events about it via IFX.

Being able to subscribe to such events would enable us to better integrate arc into our existing workflow.

This would be a really great addition to IFX 👍

Plus one for this. Not sure if this would be the same event, but it would be great to know when an article is scheduled for publication. This could likely be part of the same saved draft event. But maybe it would be good to distinguish the scheduled action event?

Hi, as an update we are actively investigating this and working with another team to get these messages. I will post another update when I have one.

Bran, thank you for the information.

    Hey Bridgette,

theoretically yes we would need all those events but it would also be ok if those autosaves would get aggregated and e.g. one (auto-)save event for all auto saves in the last 10 minutes or so.

The absolute minimum that we need for our current use case is that when a first-publish happens with a publish-date in the future - we receive a save event the moment the publish gets scheduled. (absolute minimum because we cant find a workaround for that one)

Hi Bran, I was wondering to what degree the saves should be sent. Only when the user clicks the save button? I am asking because Composer does auto-saves. Would you want all of these as events?

Hi, thank you for the suggestion! We are working along with another team to see how we can get this done.
