Inheriting fields from a story when adding a story card in Pagebuilder (such as headline, image and subheadline) is cool and super efficient when adding contents in a section front or homepage. Unfortunately, inheriting this content means that if an editor modifies a headline or image in the original, this will also affect the story card and that could potentially break the visual look of the page or the position of the story in that page, like adding an additional line in the headline or even an image that is not as good as the initial one.
In order to avoid this, it would be essential to add an option or checkbox so that a user can lock the content of a story card once he has selected it and is totally sure that it works.

This will not be a platform-supported functionality but you can leverage Plugins to extend your feature code to address this scenario.
We are planning to release Feature level Plugins soon. Will keep you posted.
