Ideas for Arc XP

Add Temporary Visual Indicator Of Where New Feature Or Chain Is Being Added

Hi there,

With the newer 'Add Feature' experience in PageBuilder Editor, it would be helpful to provide a temporary visual indicator of where a new feature or chain is being added within the list of Features.

If I click on the "+ Add Feature" button or click the "Add Feature To Chain" menu option, the Features navigator appears. A temporary visual indicator should appear, such as within the chain of where the feature is being added.

This could be a faint blue rectangle box that appears to match the color scheme of PB, such as the colors seen when renaming a feature or chain. This rectangle would then disappear once the user adds a feature or if they close out of the navigator.

The same effect could also be used if the "Change Type" option is used, visually showing the user what is being edited.

Please let me know if there are any follow-up questions about this. Thanks!

Thank you Troy for creating this idea. We will consider this suggestion for making future improvements to the Add Feature functionality.
