It would be great to have a maintenance mode switch in pagebuilder allowing, for example, to redirect all received requests to a chosen page of pagebuilder.
It could be ssr only for reducing platform overhead.
It also could have a field for setting the end of maintenance mode. This will allow setting a Cache-control directive to that page at origin.
I think that feature will allow to deploy breaking changes to existing and published layouts / pages / templates without exposing errors to end users.

Thank you for your idea. Due to the way Arc cache and PageBuilder Engine currently function, we do not plan to support this functionality at this time.
