The homepage editors indicated that when handling linked content, it should always be readily evident what else the linked thing is linked to. So, IF they change a feature that's i) linked to a linked chain that appears on three pages and two templates and ii) linked to directly to two different pages and iii) etc. THEN these dependencies should be very obvious to them.
