Flex Chain - Custom Block - On/Off toogle + layout preview

A toggle button to turn on/off the flex chain custom block will allow an editorial team to have more layouts on one page and not duplicate pages.
For the block details, a preview image will be a nice touch to be able just with hover to recognize what to turn on or off. On/off status is needed in the left column.

Hello, Thank you for submitting this idea. At this time, we will not be implementing a way for users to preview how a block/chain will appear on a page from the Block Details list.

For the ability to have a custom block/chain remain on a page without needing to delete it, there are a couple of current features/options that can help to accomplish this.

    • Since this is a custom block, you could add a Custom Field to the flex chain that allows a user to toggle display on the page on or off. However, it will still appear in Editor Preview. For more information about adding a custom field to a component, please see this documentation

      .

    • If you would like to be able to preview how the page will look without the flex chain, we recommend leveraging page versions or the clipboard feature.

      • For more information about pages and versions, please see this ALC documentation.

      • The Clipboard feature allows you to save the flex chain to the page’s clipboard, remove the chain from your Block List, and then you or other page collaborators can add it back to the page as needed. For more information, please see this ALC documentation.
