Comment memo glitch in Ellipsis

From a Wapo user:

For the longest time, I thought the comment bubble at the top my Ellipsis pages was not working for me in particular: When I clicked on it, no comment box opened up. It turns out that the comment box was opening up when I clicked on the bubble but was outside the right margin of the page and therefore invisible to me. Brian and I looked at the problem together and discovered that by dragging one side of the Ellipsis page to widen the display, the comment boxes popped into view. Could those boxes be made to hover somewhere on a normal-size page view when summoned, so that a user doesn’t have to remember that the page must be widened beyond a normal size for the boxes to appear?

Also, a contributor to my missing the existence of the out-of-sight boxes might have been that the comment button does not react in any way when clicked – doesn’t fluoresce or become bold or anything – so one have the impression that it is a nonfunctioning tool when the comment boxes do not appear. Could that button be made to show some sign of life when touched?
