Paywall status only accepts certain terms like "exempt"- lower case only, but instead of it being a dropdown, it is a free text field, which leaves a lot of room for user error
I believe this was resolved in a release of Composer from a while back. In Composer settings, you can create a picklist associated with paywall that will then display the options for the paywall as a dropdown.
