Right now, if a story is scheduled in Composer, the content of that story is essentially locked in. If edits or updates are made before the story goes live, there is no way to actually schedule those edits without unscheduling the post and then scheduling it again. The "Save" button essentially just saves things as a new draft, it doesn't save the changes for publication.
This is causing problems for our copy desk, which needs to make fixes to stories but also isn't expected to be the team that schedules when everything goes out.
On top of that, when you do unschedule the post, Composer doesn't remember the original scheduled time when you go to schedule it again, so if you're not the person who scheduled it originally, you might not know when it was supposed to go out.

Hello, I noticed this idea while reviewing the Ideas Portal and want to share an overdue update. This shipped as part of the "Circulate" update, with more information available on Arc Learning Center here: https://redirector.arcpublishing.com/alc/arc-products/composer/user-docs/introduction-to-circulation/
Is there an update on this?
This work is in progress and is scheduled to go live in Q1 2020.
Thanks for voting on this Idea.

Hi Britton
The team is in the process of updating the underlying publishing infrastructure and this change will be included. Thanks for the feedback!
