Custom fields for stories

Currently fields you can set for each story seem to be set and it's not possible for user ( or developer who isn't building StoryBuilder for that matter ) to assign any custom fields for a story.

It would be nice if user ( or developer ) could define custom fields that could then be assigned to a story ( and would appear in the API response as well ). Ideally you could set custom fields as required for story publish as well.

An example use case is story sensitivity. For example if a story is sensitive ( e.g. it's about death ) it would be nice to flag it as sensitive and that could impact how the story appears on the site ( e.g. less aggressive adverts ).

We are conducting research on how to safely offer enhanced extensibility and data validation. Please reach out to your Account Manager if you'd like to join that conversation.

Has anything further happened on this since Angela's comment in September.?  We have another idea submitted that would be covered by the ability to define custom, Editable fields in Ellipsis. (https://ideas.arcpublishing.com/ideas/SB-I-54)  THis is a high priority feature request for us.
