Compose Tab first

When we create a story, we would like to land on the "compose" tab instead of the "planning" tab.

We shipped this with the original release of Composer 2.0 in 2024!

This will be accomplished through the side by side view in the new editor experience coming soon!

      Hi Lawrence,

We'd like to have the possibility (configurable) to land by default on the Compose Tab, because so journalists can immediately start working on their core business: writing their story. From our first demo's here, we have a feedback that there are too many things to do before starting to write the story (although we restricted to a tiny minimum the mandatory fields for saving a story).
Starting from the Composer Tab would ease the way a lot.

Allow me to mention we work here with limited staff. The whole editorial team for one brand here is as "big" as a section team at team publishers, which means we don't have section heads to have time to create tasks in WebSked or prepare story canevas for their editors.

I hope this helps to understand the idea -;)
      Phil

Thanks Phil. Can you elaborate on why you prefer to land on the Compose tab over the Planning tab?
