Ideas for Arc XP

Make the Circulate tab automatically open the 'Manage circulations' page without a pop-up screen

Our time is valuable and every second counts. That is why I am suggesting we #SkipAClick and make it so the “manage circulations” full screen is not a full screen and is instead embedded fully into the “Circulate” tab.

I am not technical enough to know how the coding works with this, but I have edited a photo to imagine what this would look like in practice. That photo is below.

I am often working on several stories at once and when things are busy I will find myself hopping between them. When the “manage circulations” page comes up as a full screen it is overwhelming and distracting. Additionally, the simple fact that the “manage circulations” button exists is just an unnecessary step because the reason I went to the “Circulate” tab was to manage circulations.

I suggest we remove the requirement to click “Manage circulations” and have the managing page visible and easily accessible from the moment we open the “Circulate” tab.

    Hey Rajat,

Thanks for your response. I think the concern here is that the "Circulations" tab still opens a new window when managing circulations, even in 2.0. Though the functionality is within the "Planning" section, which is great and we do like that, the managing of circulations still takes place within a new, full screen window as opposed to directly within the "Planning" side bar itself. Hope that makes sense.

Hey, with the implementation of Composer's Editor 2.0, the Circulate tab has been removed and the functionality has moved under Planning. So, you shouldn't face this issue going forward. Thanks for your idea!

Thank you for submitting this! We're working on revamping the overall editing experience this year and will take this into consideration for future development.
