When I filter vor stories in Composer, I like to use the workflow state as a filter tool. Use cases are "Show me only stories that are in production", "Show me only stories that are yet ideas", "Show me only stories that have been spellchecked". To do that, I always have to deselect every other box when I want only on workflow state selected.
I know that I can save filters as bookmarks and this is a pretty good workaround, but this little feature would make things easier for our editors nevertheless.
