Currently, ARC only allows users to create tags and add a short description. However, there is no functionality to merge duplicate or related tags. This causes issues with content organization, discoverability, and topic tracking.
Need:
We need the ability to consolidate tags that refer to the same person or subject. For example:
“Wanda Vázquez”
“Wanda Vázquez Garced”
These both refer to the same public figure, but since they are separate tags, the related content is split and cannot be accessed in one place.
We request:
Add functionality to merge tags (combine duplicate or related entries).
Automatically update existing stories with the merged tag.
Optionally, allow redirects or aliases to prevent broken links if tags are used in public URLs.
Impact:
Improves editorial organization.
Reduces duplication of effort.
Increases efficiency in content navigation.
Enables more accurate topic tracking and analysis.
