Ideas for Arc XP

Change the publish/update button when a story is scheduled to be published.

When a Composer story is scheduled to publish in the future, the "publish" button changes to say "update." Editors who do not publish/update stories every day have periodically made pre-publication changes and then pushed that "update" button because it looks like the most logical way to make the changes stick ahead of publication. But, in fact, the button makes a story go live NOW, instead of at the time when it is set to post. It seems like every few months we accidentally post something because of this confusion.

Could the green button use a different word than "Update" when a story is scheduled to be published, but is not yet published?

Attached is a screenshot of a story that is scheduled to publish. The Green button at the top right says "Update"

Hi there! Could you provide a screenshot or recording of where you are seeing the button not change to "Schedule" when it is scheduled to publish in the future? We already have what you are describing here– Later is selected and the main button on the modal is changed to Schedule. Thank you!
