Ideas for Arc XP

Use different confirmation language based on whether a story was initially published or updated

As an editor, it would be useful for the "Story was successfully published" language that appears across the bottom of the screen to say "Story was successfully updated" when a story is updated after its original publication. The "published" language is confusing and makes me think I published a story that was not already live and not yet meant to be live, while "updated" language would make it clear I merely updated an already-live story.

Additionally, when a story has been updated after an initial publish, it would be helpful if the language at the top of left of the screen (that follows the format of "Published 6/1/26 at 10:45 AM") either:

  1. Was changed to say "Updated 6/1/26 at 10:45 AM" or "Last published 6/1/26 at 10:45 AM"

  2. Gave the initial publish time

It is VERY confusing to see the current "Published" language when a story was in fact just updated, and makes me think i've accidentally initially published something that was not already live
