If I have formatting in one story that I want to copy into another (i.e. if I have a master post, or a previously formatted article type that I want to reuse) pasting into a new Ellipsis file strips out all that formatting. Even things as simple as bold are getting stripped out. We should be able to copy -- either simple copy or copy to clipboard -- and have that formatting transfer in full to the new file.
Even better would be if copying the entire body of the story would work, including inserting html blocks and other inline elements.

No, not unless you make changes to Clone functionality.
We were told told that cloning should only be used for single 1 to 1 copies, and beyond that the versions might become unstable. In other words, we should not clone the same story more than once, and we should not make a clone of a clone. This severely limits the usefulness of the clone function.
Hi Jessica
Would cloning the story work in this scenario?
