Hi!
The idea would be to automatically add a UTM (or something similar) to URLs to track content blocks performances.
The UTM (or else) would show content block ID or name, page of click origin (Home, Sports, Arts, article title, etc.) and position of content in the block (1st, second, etc.).
This could be very useful to see the performances of certain content blocks in generating recirculation.
I would be happy to discuss this idea with you if you think it is relevant.
Hi Denise! Yes, we do use GTM and GA. We did not consider adding tags to blocks as what we would like to achieve is to be able to follow the recirculation performances of each content blocks in Chartbeat (that we use as our main content performance analytics platform). That's why I thought about the ability to customize UTMs at a block level inside PageBuilder. But we cn explore other ways to achieve this. Thanks!
Hi Marc, thank you for submitting this idea. Do you currently use GA/GTM, or another analytics solution? We believe you could achieve some of this through tagging in GTM but wanted to confirm if you have tried that already. Since each url will have multiple blocks, it would be best to set the triggers on the block elements of the pages, and then track the events that way. Let me know if I'm misunderstanding your use case, we'd love to hear more of what you are trying to achieve.
