The current auto-filling supports sections and tags.
But it will be interesting to have the possibility to auto-filling also the newest stories even if they don't match with the sections and tags.
For instance, I have a collection with a query tag on "featured". I have pitched 1 story, and 3 stories have the "featured" tag.
If I make an Api Call on /collections in Content API to retrieve 10 stories, these 4 stories will be fetch, no more.
With a "newest" option, I could fetch these 4 stories + the 6 newest articles.
Hi Edwige,
Thanks very much for your feedback! Your recommendation touches on new functionality that we're considering for Collections. In particular, we want to give you more control over your queries for the backfill.
For API users like yourself, I'm exploring what additional parameters we should enable in the query as well as what filters would need to be available as well.
I'm interested in hearing about other user cases from you and your colleagues as well as from other organizations. Please feel free to share how else you would like to be able to populate the backfill.
As always, feel free to reach out to me through your TAM.
Thanks!
