Ability to select all to remove all/multiple entries from a collection

We use collections in multiple ways to drive displays on the front end. As part of our workflow we often have to clear out old content and replace with new articles. It would save a lot of time if there was a way to select all and delete outdated articles from the collection.

Thanks for all of the feedback. I've captured all of it in my notes for improving Collections. My plan is to focus on Collections for the later half of 2024.

Please feel free to reach out to me through your TAM if you'd like to discuss any of these issues.

      Best,
      Stuart

This would be very helpful, and the workflow you suggest sounds good, Stuart.

      Hi Stuart and Brian,
Yeah that sounds perfect - and I agree with Brian the ability to unpin in bulk is vital if pin is available!

      Thanks,
      Luke

      Hi Stuart!

I like that workflow. I'd also like to see a "Select All" checkbox atop the list of checkboxes that would allow you to select/unselect all.

If Pin is a bulk edit option, Unpin should be as well. I can see myself accidentally pinning 20 items then having to unpin them one-by-one.

      Hi Luke,

I have on the radar the ability to do a "bulk edit" on the list of content in a Collection. That's several months away because it's part of a larger effort to improve Collections -- but I agree it's a critical feature. I'd love to hear everyone's feedback.

I imagine it would work like this:

      1. I'm viewing the list of content in a Collection

      2. I click the Bulk Edit button

      3. Checkboxes appear next to all of the content

      4. I select the content I want to manage

      5. I choose from actions such as:

        1. Remove

        2. Pin in place ;-)

        3. Move all to top (in current order)

        4. Move all to bottom (in current order)

      6. I click Execute button

Does this sound right? What improvements would make this work better?

      Thanks for your input!
      Stuart
