Enable Option to Restore Draft to Published Layout in PageBuilder Editor

Hi there,

In PageBuilder Editor, there should be an option that allows users to easily revert their draft so it matches the published layout of the page.

There have been instances in the past where an editor may click to "Use Shared" and/or take the published layout of the page, make changes in their draft and then click the "Share Edits" option. Now, if anyone goes to the page in PageBuilder Editor, they may see this new layout, including if they clicked "Use Shared" -- the published layout appears to be no longer available in PageBuilder Editor.

Theoretically speaking, let's say a user removes every chain and feature from the site's homepage and creates a new layout. Then, that user clicks "Share Edits," but this layout is not something that should be published ultimately. There appears to be no way to revert back to the published layout of the page should that need to be there.

An ideal way of resolving this is to have a "Revert Page" option on the Info tab where it has "Page History" listed with the times and users who published the page before. If a user clicks on this new "Revert Page" option, it would load the published version's layout, allowing the user to first review what would go live. This would be like clicking "Use Shared," but instead, you're loading the published page layout to your draft. The user can then click "Share Edits" after making any adjustments, and then the page can be published again.

My hope is that this "Page History" section can be more useful in situations like this. Maybe I want to see what changes were made on a page in between publications, but I think at least having an ability to restore the most-recently published option can help us in situations like this.

If this option already exists, please let me know. Thanks!

This idea may be related to PB-I-196 in case you wanted to close this one out or merge with that. Thanks!
