We would like to receive Slack notifications when articles publish with a particular story tag added to them. We'd like to see story tags added as a possible filter on notifications the same way author, section, web site, pitch, and content type are.

You'll be glad to know that we are now publishing different "story events" that your development team can work with. Here is the documentation:

While this does not enable you to receive notifications via WebSked when content is published with a particular story tag, it does empower your teams to access more content-related events and create very specific, customized actions that you're looking for.

I know this is a long time coming. We are not making changes to Notifications at this time. However, it is on our long term roadmap. I like this idea and have marked it as a consideration to keep track of.
