Ideas for Arc XP

Search operators in the main websked search

In the search field in Websked, is it possible to add the use of logical operators "or" and "and"? Ideally, we'd like to have google-like search operators: https://ahrefs.com/blog/google-advanced-search-operators/

    Hi Cedric,
We'd be very in terested in this too - specifically the Boolean operators (AND / OR / NOT).

As an example we would often search for various stock market related terms within articles such as Stoxx, FTSE, NYSE. If we include these as a term in websked search they will only return articles where they are all mentioned so instead we have to set up 3 different search queries and look for each item individually. An OR operator would mean we can would be extremely useful and avoid duplication of searches and copy.

    Hi Cédric,

I agree, that's an improvement we'd like to make but it trickier than you'd think. I have it as an improvement I'd like to make but it won't be part of the upgrades we're making this round - we are updating the List View page in WebSked which includes the search features.

Nevertheless, I'd like other customers to chime in as well as to how this feature could benefit them.

Cédric, can you give me an example of how you'd like to use these operators? Currently, WebSked Search defaults to "AND" -- would you share how you might use "AND" and "OR" in combination?

    Thanks!
