The Planned Publish Time in Composer is essentially a target. Reporters may or may not hit it. In the WebSked Calendar view, stories are currently placed at that planned publish slot, which is useful for general planning.
We would like to add a separate optional Deadline timestamp field in Composer. This field would indicate when a story must be published due to a business or news-driven requirement. We would also want this Deadline to appear in WebSked as a calendar view mode or filter option.
This would allow editors, especially managing editors, to quickly identify which stories are approaching a hard deadline and require immediate attention.
