Enable batch changes to pitch status

It would be nice to be able to change the pitch status for multiple stories at once (for example, if we monthly go through "Saving" and change expired stories to "Used" or "Not Watching")

As an editor, I would like to be prevented from overwriting someone else's pitch

If I load the single story view, go an edit the file and then come back, I have have no way of knowing that it's been pitched by someone else.

As a journalist, I would like to be able to easily re-pitch a story including marking it as "breaking news"

It's currently possible to move pitches back to "pitched", but you have to do it for each platform that you pitched. Also, there's no way to indicate that the story is breaking.
