Ideas for Arc XP

IFX events for more than just stories

Add IFX events for non-story data types, like Gallery, Video, Author, etc.

Doing this would make it easier for headless clients to perform tasks on data of all types, not just stories.

Hi Richard, we do not have video events yet, but I do hope to get it on our roadmap as soon as possible. Here is a discussion https://github.com/orgs/arcxp/discussions/28. If you would like to, you can create a new Idea here for the video events.

Sharing some exciting news! New events for Images, Galleries, and Collections will be released to sandbox on Oct. 9 and production on Oct. 16.

We are also working on a few others, so stay tuned for those.

Thank you! If there are any other ideas you have for IFX we'd love to hear them.

we are currently fully headless and use Kinesis events to receive information about changes to non-article content.

Being able to condense our systems to only read events from IFX would be considerably less complicated resulting in fewer points of failure.

Hello! For the purposes of roadmap planning, would you all be able to share use cases and/or probability of using more content events? You can email me directly.

Update: we are going to release Author events in the coming weeks. We are working on other services as well, but there isn't a timeline for this yet.

Hi! I agree this would be very useful. We are working on ways to consume more events.
