In 2.0, we now have the ability to edit the photographer field for the individual use of a photo, but it defaults to just showing up as "Photographer," which is leading our users to think they have to fill it in each time. Since it's not hooked up to a dropdown menu of staff photographers, errors are being included. It makes sense to have the original photographer name autofill that spot with the option to overwrite if needed.
