Ideas for Arc XP

Canonical URL service | Dates & times in URLs based off publisher's timezone

The first publish date we wanted to use in our URL structure is being generated off UTC instead of our timezone - EST/EDT. This is causing incorrect dates to be in URLs on any stories published after 7pm.

Please allow publishers to designate the timezone by which the date is determined for their URLs.

Hi Ian! Thanks for the feedback. The release notes for the new URL Timezone support can be found in ALC here. This feature will work for all accounts, PB Classic and Fusion!

In order to use this feature, you'll need to set your Organization time zone in Global Settings. Thanks!

On more question, as we are still on Classic. Has this shipped to accounts with PB Classic as well as PB Fusion?

    Thanks,

    Ian Krantz

    Hi Folks,

It's nice to know that this has shipped, but it would useful to know 1) which release of what Arc module contained or will contain this fix. And any action that is needed on our part to make sure that our URLs are generated with appropriate Time zone.

If no action on our part is needed, it would be great if you could say that explicitly.

    Thanks,

    Ian Krantz
