We recently deployed the single-content content source to our OBF Sandbox and Prod environment. We can only retrieve data for a single article using the JSON output type. We would like the data for a single article to also be retrieved using the XML output type so it can be used in an RSS feed.

Hi Jenae, all, the use case for this would be to be able to send email newsletters for alerting breaking news where the email would only contain a single story (template powered by RSS). Or a way to be able to compile personalised collections where article content IDs were 'saved' against a user ID and we built an email for them based on this personalised content.
Is there a way we could achieve this through custom development if it is not possible for product updates?

Thanks for getting back, honestly I can't remember the use case I had in mind for this and struggling to understand why I asked for it. So, I think this idea can be closed for the moment, and if anything comes to mind I can add a new comment to this thread.

Thank you for the idea. Can you provide more details on your use case? I think you are trying to compile single articles from an XML output type for use in an RSS feed. If you can point me to any examples, that would be fantastic. I want to make sure we address the root problem.
