When adding an image to an article in Composer the photo center search results (or lightbox) do not indicate whether the image is published or not. The red/green circles you see on the photo center landing page are not shown in the search results when adding an image to an article. After an image is added inline - in the article body - there is a publishing status shown, but not until you add the image. Also there is no publishing status shown for Featured Media images. This makes previewing stories before publishing them inaccurate since neither the image nor the edited caption are displayed in the preview.
