For SEO purposes, it is key that published pictures have the 'Alt Text' filled with appropriate information.
This text is dependent on the standpoint addressed in the story and consequently, is likely to be adapted by the journalist when writing his story.
Wished behavior:
the modal that opens after clicking on 'Edit info' of a picture in Comopser shall include the 'Alt text' field
it shall be possible to have a different 'Alt text' for a picture when it is published in different stories. The Alt text then becomes a contextual information of a picture inside a story.
the Alt text shall be mandatory for any published piccture

Hi this ticket is labeled 'Needs more information'. Can you specify what information is required ?
This would be a big win for our editorial workflows and for maximum accessibility for all readers
This would be a huge win for our newsroom if this functionality could be added
we would also like to have this and see the actual alt_text used in a for a a featured_media item within composer. For one of our feeds, the images that follow the stories have their captions and alt_text added to the the featured_media in the story, not the image. And in that situation, we have nowhere to edit the alt text.
Yes I do.
Hi Lawrence,
Indeed I would to see the alt text field when editing a story in Composer and be able to edit it from Composer directly.
The objective is to be able to contextualize the alt text of the picture according to my story.
Hi Guillaume - Thank you for your submission. Just to confirm, are you asking for the ability to see the alt text set for that image and override it (if an editor chooses to) in Composer for the image in the story? Thanks!
