This new functionality has added more steps/clicks to upload photos, especially if you only have one template. There should be an option to turn on/off this new upload functionality so that if you only ever would have one template you don't have to do it this way and can upload your photos the way it has always worked.
In addition, if there is only one template available, the radio button should already be enabled so the user doesn't have to click to select the only option available to them
