Braintree Account Updater updates tokenized credit cards in their vault to resolve many credit card payment fail codes without changing the token. Updating the tokenized card without changing the token allows for suspended renewals to be recovered without needing a new payment method created.
Although charges/renewals can continue to be processed the meta data that displays in the Arc Subs dashboard can be incorrect.
This idea is to start accepting a monthly file that can be used to update metadata on active subscriptions payment methods.
For example if Account Updater updated the expiration date on a payment method, the monthly file would note the new expiration date that needs to be updated on the payment method.
