With now >100 websites in one environment and another 20+ in themes, we are finding some use cases where the use of tags would be beneficial if we could limit their appearance by website.
While we have maintained control over creation of tags from a higher level, some tags do have similarities and may not apply website to website. Use of them may be specific to one site.
Realizing this does pose some challenges in what determines the filter for a sub-set of tags, the benefit of it still is worth consideration.

We have some instances where for eg. site A something should be a tag vs for site B it should be a section. Currently, as there is no way to assign tags to sites, it creates two versions of a very similar page for site B if someone assigns content to both a tag and a section. Not good for SEO.
Thanks for the Idea! We've previously received similar Ideas around the idea of grouping or creating hierarchies out of Tags. The ability to assign to a specific website(s) is another great feature we'll add to the list as we think about how to make tags work better for everyone!
