Allow global configuration of keyboard shortcuts for items such as special characters (em dash, fractions, etc.) and activating tasks, pitches, etc. Permit mapping to function keys along with CTL/ALT key combos

Would also love to see a shortcut option for an em dash like if typing -- automatically converted to an em dash.
We're specifically looking for a keyboard shortcut to insert a hyperlink in an article in Composer. Control K on a PC and Command K on a Mac is the standard from MS Word.
