Allow users to write in the name of whomever a task is assigned to in instances where the assignee does not have an Author Service profile. Example: Naming the freelance photographer assigned to a photo assignment task.
Because of the sorting functionality we implemented with the new Task pages we don't have this capability just yet. However, if you encourage your freelancers to keep track of tasks, and set up notifications for, a group called Freelancers then they can track their tasks and get notified like normal.
We are including something similar this as part of our upgrades to the overall Task Experience. I would love to speak with you further about this idea as well as your other ideas.
Please feel free to reach out to me through your account manager.
Thanks! Stuart Ridgway Sr. Product Manager for WebSked
Hi Emily,

I hope that works for now.

The task assignee needs to have access to Arc Publishing to be listed, but doesn't need to be in the author service.
We'll consider allowing free text assignment in the future.
