Ideas for Arc XP

Ability to filter stories by language in Collection

As we have a miltilingual single website, we can't use Collections because stories aren't separated by language.

    Thanks for the update, Edwige.

I understand you were able to work with our Customer Engagement team to get a solution to work for you now.

In the mean time, I was able to confirm that when the Collections API queries for content, we do have the ability to filter by language. I'm looking to make some improvements to Collections so am gathering recommendations such as this. Knowing we can do the filtering is a step in the right direction!

I'm curious to hear what others think of this idea?

    Best,
    Stuart

    Hi Stuart,

We use Arc XP as a headless solutions, so we are consuming Content Api to retrieve the content and build our website.

Currently, we have a single site where we create our content in different languages.

We have sections to categorized our stories. Each section will have its homepage where the editorial team would like to featured some stories before the pagination of all the stories which are in the concerned section.

Sections are shared between languages. Stories in English, French, German... can be circulated in the same section (ex : /hifi or /news).

If we want to use Collection, we need to filter with language because we don't want to have stories in a language which is not expected.

    Hi Edwige,

    Thanks again for your feedback.

Can you give me a little more detail? I'm curious how you would like to use a Collection to curate stories in separate languages.

    Thanks!
    Stuart
