News is not always produced in the same city or even timezone as the core newsroom. Reporters from sections such as sports or national politics are one example. In addition there are publishing organizations with multiple newsrooms across several time zones. However, Ellipsis only supports one time zone.
In these scenarios, news writers, editors and producers need to do timezone conversions constantly when publishing. This is an especially frustrating user experience that sometimes an entire newsroom of users face.
To that end, we'd like to request that Ellipsis improve time zone handling so that when newsroom users are publishing, they are viewing time fields in the zone where they are physically located. For example, a sports reporter writing a story from LA should see pacific times listed in all time fields, while her editor back on the east coast sees eastern time zones.

Thanks!
Hi Destiny, added this to the backlog. Working on getting a SWAG and time frame for when this can be addressed.
Thanks for reporting this. This is definitely something that we're considering, but isn't planned for at least in near term.
