If you are amending an image via Ellipsis, there should be a 1-click option after saving the image to attach that image to your story. Along the lines of “Save | Save and Close | Save and replace”
Currently in Ellipsis and need to crop the featured image, you open it in Anglerfish and do so -- but it doesn't update in Ellipsis.
This is because creating a crop of an image creates a derivative. Thus, after creating the crop, the original image that was added to Composer is not the cropped image, requiring you as a user to select the cropped version.
