At the moment, when you open a collection you are available to see all the stories listed with an image at the left. The image shown is the PhotoCenter instance that belongs to the promo_items.basic element of the asset.
It would be nice to configure which instance of promo_items is used by WebSked Collections to be shown in the lists. We have some use cases that the press-room would like to see the Lead Art image of the story instead of the Basic.
Hi all,
It turned out that including lead_art for a Collection's thumbnail was much harder than we anticipated. So I am including it as part of the updates for Collections I'm planning for later in 2024. I apologize for not posting an update here.
Please let me or your TAM know if you have any questions on this.
Thanks!

Hi all,
Thank you for your patience on this. We are in the development process right now for a simple solution, and hope to have this released in a few weeks: if a story does not have a promo_items.basic, then WebSked will show the lead_art image instead.
It doesn't allow you to configure which image is shown, but at least you won't see an empty placeholder when there is no promo_items.basic.
Please let me or your TAM know if you have any questions on this.
Thanks!

Thanks for the idea to help make our Collections feature more configurable. As we assess features for adding functionality to our Collection lists we will certainly take into account making the display of the promo-item instance more configurable.
