As we're trying to address Cumulative Layout Shift issues we are noticing that our lead story on our homepages has a delay on when the image/video renders and it's causing the page to shift.
We would like for Arc to consider reserving a min-height for the image or video to help reduce this CLS when an image is selected and expected from to display.
If we need to be specific, this is a Top Table List, Extra Large with image selected. We use the 16:9 image ratio, but obviously you would only want to reserve space for the smallest ratio.
Attached is a view of mobile and desktop PageSpeed Insights that shows the CLS.
Improvements to reduce CLS were included in our Themes 1.13 release to production on 8/18/2021.
